Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: May 13, 2026
Last Updated: May 13, 2026
1. Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the conduct standards that apply to everyone using Tavvi, the FornaxLink, LLC platform that connects independent merchants with their customers. The AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violating it can result in account suspension or termination as described in Section 14 of the Terms.
This policy applies to every surface of the Service: merchant landing pages, consumer browsing, inquiry submission, the merchant-consumer chat thread, quote and deposit flows, reviews, and any future channel we add.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not post, send, or otherwise transmit any content through Tavvi that:
- Is illegal in the United States or in your jurisdiction
- Sexually exploits or endangers a minor in any way, including grooming, solicitation, or any depiction of child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Threatens, harasses, stalks, or intimidates another person
- Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organized hatred against a protected class
- Incites or facilitates physical harm or self-harm
- Sells, advertises, or facilitates trade in controlled substances, weapons, explosives, prescription drugs without a license, counterfeit goods, stolen property, human trafficking, or non-consensual intimate imagery
- Infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual-property rights — see our DMCA Policy for the takedown procedure
- Contains malware, ransomware, phishing payloads, or scripts intended to compromise other users or our infrastructure
- Discloses another person's private information (real name, address, phone, ID number, financial account, medical record) without their consent
- Impersonates another person, business, or brand
- Defames, libels, or knowingly makes false statements of fact about another person or business
3. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Tavvi to:
- Run, advertise, or facilitate a business prohibited by our Terms (Section 7.2 of the Terms of Service) — illegal gambling, unlicensed pharmaceutical sales, weapons, adult content, multi-level marketing schemes, and similar categories listed there
- Submit fake, incentivized, or coordinated inquiries or reviews
- Create multiple accounts to evade a block, ban, or rate limit
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically harvest data from the Service except as expressly permitted
- Interfere with the operation of the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, or probe for security vulnerabilities outside an authorized testing program
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or chain communications to other users
- Use the Service to compete directly with FornaxLink, train competing AI models on platform content, or extract platform data for resale
4. Off-Platform Payment Solicitation
Tavvi exists so independent merchants and their customers can transact on a platform that handles payment, escrow, dispute resolution, and consumer protection. Asking your counterparty to pay you through Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal Friends-and-Family, wire transfer, gift card, or any other off-platform method defeats every one of those protections.
Off-platform payment solicitation, whether by merchant or consumer, violates this AUP. Repeated solicitation, or solicitation paired with pressure ("Tavvi is broken, just send it directly"), is grounds for immediate account suspension. We surface a warning to moderators when our system detects off-platform-payment language in chat messages.
Exception: a merchant who clearly explains that Tavvi is the only safe channel and steers a confused customer back to the platform is not solicitation.
5. Communication Conduct
The merchant-consumer chat thread is a real human surface. Treat the other side with the basic respect you would extend in person. Specifically:
- Be honest about scope, price, timeline, and your ability to deliver. Misrepresentation is fraud, not negotiation.
- Do not bombard the other side with repeat messages after they have stopped responding. Persistent unwanted contact after a clear signal to stop is harassment.
- Do not use the chat thread for unrelated solicitation — political campaigning, recruiting for unrelated businesses, religious proselytizing, or attempts to redirect the conversation to a personal relationship.
- Do not share another customer's contact information, order history, or correspondence with a third party without their consent.
6. Reporting and Enforcement
If you experience or witness a violation of this AUP, use the in-app report function from the conversation overflow menu. The report captures the relevant message context as a frozen snapshot at report time so we can review what was actually said.
If you prefer email, write to help@fornaxlink.com with the conversation handle, the approximate date and time, and a brief description. Include screenshots if you can — they do not replace the in-app report but they speed up review.
We may take any of the following actions in response to a confirmed violation:
- A private warning to the offending party
- Removal or hiding of specific content
- Restricting the offending party's ability to initiate new conversations or submit new inquiries
- Suspending the offending account for a defined period
- Permanently banning the offending account and revoking active sessions
- Notifying law enforcement when required by law or when a credible threat to life, safety, or a minor's welfare is present
Action is at our reasonable discretion. We weigh the severity of the conduct, the offender's history, the harm to the reporting party, and the broader effect on the platform. We do not negotiate the response in public.
7. Child Safety
Sexual exploitation of a minor is a zero-tolerance violation and the only action we take is permanent removal plus a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. We cooperate with NCMEC and with federal, state, and local law enforcement in CSAM investigations.
If you encounter content on Tavvi that you believe sexually exploits or endangers a minor, report it immediately through the in-app report function (use the "Illegal" category) or write to help@fornaxlink.com. You may also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
8. Appeals
If your account has been restricted and you believe the action was a mistake, write to admin@fornaxlink.com with the subject line "Account Restriction Appeal." Include the account email, a short statement of why you believe the action was wrong, and any context we should consider. We respond to appeals within 10 business days.
Appeals are not negotiations. We will review the underlying evidence, consider what you wrote, and confirm or reverse the action. Repeated frivolous appeals are themselves a violation of this AUP.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to the address on your account and via prominent notice within the Service at least 30 days before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
